The company
High Peak Recycling is responsible for waste sourcing and the day-to-day management of Arden Quarry under its lease arrangements with Land Recovery North West Ltd. Our role spans customer liaison, delivery coordination, weighbridge administration and on-site waste handling.From the initial waste enquiry to the close of each operating day, we coordinate the people, plant and vehicle movements needed to run the site. All activity remains within Land Recovery North West’s overall strategic and ultimate control and the site’s agreed operating arrangements.
High Peak sources waste for assessment at Arden Quarry and manages relationships with waste producers, brokers and hauliers. We coordinate proposed volumes, delivery programmes and commercial arrangements, bringing together source information and supporting documentation before a waste stream is considered for acceptance.
We manage the daily site programme, coordinating personnel, plant and working areas with planned deliveries. Our role is to organise the practical running of the operation, respond to day-to-day requirements and maintain communication between the site team, customers and Land Recovery North West.
High Peak manages day-to-day weighbridge activity, recording vehicle arrivals, departures and load weights. We coordinate load documentation and delivery records so that each movement can be identified against the relevant customer, waste stream and agreed delivery arrangements.
We coordinate vehicle movements through the site, from arrival and the weighbridge to the designated tipping area and exit. This includes communicating site instructions to drivers, managing the flow of incoming loads and coordinating tipping activity with plant movements in the working area.
High Peak manages the day-to-day tipping operation, directing vehicles to the designated working area and coordinating the unloading and handling of accepted waste. The site team manages the sequence of deliveries and plant activity in accordance with the site’s agreed operating procedures.
At the close of each operating day, we clear and tidy the active working area and undertake daily covering of deposited waste. We coordinate the plant and cover material required for this routine, preparing the working area for the next operating day in accordance with the site’s operating procedures.
Arden Quarry
The operating arrangement places High Peak’s day-to-day site activity within Land Recovery North West’s overall strategic and ultimate control.
Responsible for sourcing waste and managing the practical day-to-day operation of Arden Quarry. This includes customer and haulier coordination, the weighbridge, site traffic, tipping, waste clearance and daily cover, within the operating framework and overall control retained by Land Recovery North West Ltd.
Retains overall strategic and ultimate control of the site, operates the environmental permit and is responsible for Landfill Tax.

Agree the waste description, acceptance conditions, commercial terms and any further checks before making a delivery booking.
Check the delivery slot, vehicle details, paperwork and site instructions. Tell us about changes to the waste or its source before dispatch.
Common questions
Send the team a description of the material, its source and proposed EWC code. Current permissions, waste characteristics and supporting evidence determine whether a proposed movement can be accepted. This website does not provide a blanket list of accepted wastes.
Please obtain written acceptance and confirm delivery arrangements first. Do not send a vehicle solely because you have submitted an enquiry or previously delivered another waste stream.
Contact compliance before sending any further affected loads. Changes in source, production process, composition, classification or test results need to be reviewed against the agreed acceptance conditions.
Yes. Attach the available reports to your email, with the producer and source site clearly identified. Include the date of sampling and any information on how the sample relates to the proposed waste stream.
